President - Laurie Blackshear
Laurie holds a BS degree in Medical Technology and has been employed by Clear Lake Regional Hospital, The Methodist Hospital, Bayshore Hospital, St. Mary's of Beaumont, and the National Institute of Health. She is currently 'self-employed' as the primary teacher for her home schooled daughters. All three daughters are active in dance, leaving very few disciplines untouched. Husband and father, Steve, is very often left to his own devices since his daughters (and his wife) attend dance classes at least four days a week at Kennedy Dance Theatre! Laurie is also a teaching assistant, office assistant, music editor and archivist, seamstress, and all-around "Jill of all trades" at the studio. A member of Southwest Presbyterian Church in Bellaire, she is the Director of Children's Christian Education and the director for Vacation Bible School.In her spare time she is an independent consultant for Creative Memories and enjoys genealogy, shape-note singing, and drum and bugle corps competitions. Past President - Robin Stowe
Robin is the President of two companies, White Knight Technologies (a web design and development company) and A Fabulous Affair (an event planning and promotions business). She has served as an Information Technology consultant to major manufacturing sites throughout the world for over 15 years. Robin has held several volunteer positions with local non-profit organizations, including President of the Victory Lakes Intermediate School Choir Booster and Sugar Plum Market Chairman for Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theater. She has a BS in Computer Science from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Robin moved to League City, Texas in 1989. She is married with two daughters. Production Director - Norm Nissen
Norm is a forensic animator and graphic designer at ATA Associates, Inc for the past thirteen years. He created the animated backgrounds used in our productions of The Nutcracker. While at ATA, Norm has created promotional interactive computer CDs for the Space Center Rotary and the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Prior to working at ATA, Norm was an animator and graphic designer for Houston Public Television (Channel 8) and a technical illustrator and animator at Compaq (Hewlett-Packard) Computer. Norm and his wife Denise have been married for seven years. They both enjoy spending time with their Chihuahua/Terrier mix dog, Spike. Norm can be reached at production.director@bestballet.org.
